Service

Throughout the year we plan different fundraising events to raise money for our national philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network (CMN). Our chapter's yearly goal is to raise $10,000 for our philanthropy. For National Philanthropy Day this fall we raised over $300 for CMN by collecting change at the four-way-stop on campus. All of the money we raise for our philanthropy stays local and helps fund the Children's Miracle Network, that is a part of St. Frances Cabrini in Alexandria, Louisiana. Once a semester we make trips to visit St. Frances Cabrini, and are able to see first hand where our money goes. We also our heavily involved with a girl's home here in Natchitoches! We hosted a Halloween party for the girls, and also provided Christmas gifts for the home! Kappa Iota participates in a campus road cleanup every couple of weeks. Sisters are also involved in Service activities on their own time!
